Community organizationsBranch County Community Theatre BCCT brings together thespians from all walks of life and across the county to present four shows each year at Tibbits. The all volunteer group is open to anyone interested in helping on stage or behind the scenes. Annual dues are $10 per year. Most shows open on Thursday and run for a single weekend. Tickets are $7 for Thursday & Sunday shows; all other shows $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students.
Branch County Community Band Founded in 1979 BCCB is open to musicians seeking to keep up their musical skills, do something for the community and meet new people. The bands repertoire consists of marches, overtures, popular tunes, ragtime and swing. They perform fall and spring concerts at Tibbits.
CAMA, Coldwater Area Ministerial Association Community Thanksgiving Service is celebrated at Tibbits each year on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Th event is organized by CAMA which is made up of more than 20 area churches. The nondenominational service offers singing and prayer, and should last about an hour. There is a collection and each year the group determines the nonprofit service organization which will be the beneficiary.
Coldwater Schools utilizes the theatre for its annual musical as well as other occasional events and meetings.
Coldwater Jaycees The local service club presents the annual Miss-ter Coldwater Pageant at Tibbits each September. All for the benefit of a local family, men participate in this unique beauty pageant which includes the traditional talent and evening gown segments.
The Masonic body is a non-profit, philanthropic organization that prides itself as a community active, caring and giving fraternity, continuously looking at way to help those less fortunate. Coldwater Rotary Club The Annual Rotary Show features members of the club in chorus, solos and ensembles performing music of an era or genre. The highlight for many are the skits poking fun of anything and everyone in the community. Profits from the show all go to local service projects including support for Tibbits.
Coldwater Sweet Adelines Sauk Trail Sound Sauk Trail Sound is the local branch of Sweet Adelines International, a highly respected worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance.
Quincy High School Drama Society Quincy High School utilizes the theatre for its drama club and reward movie day for the elementary as well as other occasional events.
Saturday, January 21,2011 at 7 pm - The Tip-Up Pageant is a scholarship pageant that is open to all Branch County Junior and Senior girls. They all must attend a Branch County school. The pageant includes; interview, evening gown, talent, fashion show and an opening dance number that the contestants choreograph. The theme this year is "Winter Wonderland."
Saturday, January 21,2011 at 10 am - The Little Miss Tip-Up Pageant is open to girls in Branch County, ages 5-7. They have an opening dance number, 1st and final party dress, fashion show and an on stage question portions of their pageant. The theme for the Little Miss Tip-Up Pageant is also "Winter Wonderland." Tip-Up Festival is January 28, 29, 30 in Quincy Michigan.
