Dancing with the Celebrities

Event information

This exciting evening follows the popular television show concept with judges, backstage interviews and a master of ceremonies. Local "celebrities" perform their routines in costumes to selected music. Not only is this is a fun-filled event of glitz and glamour, but it has become a very successful annual fundraiser to support the opera house. 

Community members can vote for their favorite dance contestants before the event by making a contribution by cash or check in the contestants' voting box at Tibbits or in various locations around Coldwater and there is also an option to vote online below. During the event, audience members cast their votes with cash or check for the dancers of their choice which will count towards selecting a winner. Those votes will be tallied with the judges’ votes that night and a winner is announced.

	Ann & Tim Claar	This Coldwater couple are performing the exciting Swing! They are throwing down the gauntlet – or velvet dancing glove – their competitors will need to work very hard because the disco ball trophy is theirs, theirs, THEIRS!
	Mary Smith & Dan Lewis	First-time ballroom dancers, they describe themselves as big Tibbits supporters that are not afraid to try new things and have fun while doing it!  Vote for us!
	Colin Fraley & Kali Wales	New to this event these two are determined to give it their all and challenge the other contestants.
	Michele & Bill Milnes	Coldwater residents leave their day jobs as owner of North Woods Coffee Co. and Coldwater High School principal to perform
	Kara Hawley & Ethan Oberlin	Ethan a 2011 Coldwater High School graduate returns with a new partner on his arm and plenty of energy to strive for the mirror ball.
	All ofthe Above!!	They are all Great! I know all these dancers, but I can't decide who I want to win so I am voting for all of them.
		Bart the Bat, I see all the things happening here and I wanted to be a part of the talent this year. I hope to make an apperance if I recieve enough encouragement.
		The Flamingo, Now that I am retired for the year from invading your front lawn, I have decided to put on some dancing shoes and try to earn some extra money to get though the winter.
		I don't Know, But I LOVE TIBBITS! I am not sure who all these dancers are, but I enjoy what they are doing.

2010 Dancing with the Celebrities

Coldwater resident Mary Gail asked Al of Bronson, were the top vote getters and were the recipients of the much-coveted, mirrored disco ball trophy for the Tibbits Boosters 2010 Dancing with the Celebrities fundraiser. They, along with nine other dance couples, raised $6,000 which the Tibbits Boosters donated to the opera house.
