COLDWATER, MI—

Despite the rainy weather, 18 teams competed on Monday, June 20th, at the Tibbits Golf Tournament held at the Golf Club of Coldwater raising over $15,000 for the operations of Tibbits Opera House.

Winners for the tournament were: Gross Division: Tom Harris, Mike Barr, Al Kinney and Tod Nicholas. Net Mixed Division 1st Place: Jody Lewis, Bill Cary, Ron Cary and Wayne Gamble. 2nd Place: Hillary Eley, Brian Eley, Ted Gordon, and Kate Gordon. Men’s Division 1st Place: Ray Sebastian, John Vanderhoff, Mario Vandrhulst, and Tom Roberts. 2nd Place: Remus Rigg, Dan Taylor, Barry Case, and Howard Taylor. Women’s Division: Dawn Gallup, Leslie Moore, Alicia Cole, and Denise Wilson.

“The Tibbits Golf Scramble is always one of my favorite events of the year.  It is a fun, well run event that helps support a treasure in our community.  PNC Bank is proud to be a sponsor of the golf tournament and Tibbits programming throughout the year, “ Ray Sebastian the Senior Vice President of PNC Bank.

The community really reached out this year, helping make this tournament a huge success. The large raffle had three grand prizes.  First prize was a set of Adams Golf Irons (donated by the Foundation Golf Center) won by Ralph Stevens of Coldwater, MI.  Second prize was 2 season tickets to Tibbits Summer Theatre won by Courtney Bohacz of Bronson, MI. Third prize was a $50 gift card to Shell gas station (donated by Westside Shell) won by Ted Gordon of Coldwater, MI. There was also a 50/50 raffle held that accumulated to $188, won by Jay Johnson of Battle Creek, MI. Over 70 door prizes were also given out.

All event sponsorships were filled and included: Mary Smith, Rigg Farms, Allstate Insurance (title sponsors); United Educational Credit Union (lunch sponsor); Foundation Golf Center (raffle sponsor); Community Health Center of Branch County (golf-ball sponsor); J.R. Colbeck, Attorney (hole-in-one sponsor); Royal Chevrolet Cadillac (scoreboard sponsor); PNC Bank (beverage cart sponsor); and Gordon’s Culligan Water Conditioning (watering hole sponsor). We ask that you continue to support our sponsors who’s charitable contributions made our event a success.
