Individual Membership

Why Become a Member?

• Every Tibbits membership helps maintain a vital piece of Branch County's history. Tibbits Opera House, built in 1882 by Barton S. Tibbits, is one of the oldest theatres in Michigan and one of only a few dozen of its era still operating the the United States.
• Box office revenue provides only a portion of the funding required to sustain the theatre. Tibbits Opera Foundation members provide a large percentage of the operating funds vital to the existence of the theatre. We cannot exist without the generosity of our members.
• Membership enhances children's programming and encourages each child to experience and appreciate culture and the arts. Tibbits' goal is to offer programs that excite, educate and stimulate the youth of our area.
• Membership is an investment in the hopes and dreams of aspiring actors, musicians and dancers who appear on the Tibbits stage as well as artists who display their talents. It is home to community theatre, community band and local dance studios.

Don't Forget the Match

Many employers recognize the importance of philanthropy by agreeing to participate in the matching gift program. This is a great way to double or even triple the size of your gift. If you have any questions as to whether your company has a matching gift program, please check with your personnel office.
