All students in third through eighth grade are encouraged to audition. No experience is necessary. All that is required is a willingness to have fun and learn. Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script and to bring a current nonreturnable photo.

“It’s a time commitment of eight weeks and its hard work but they will be learning and having fun at the same time” said Director Carolyn Stewart. “We need a lot of children to audition as it calls for a large cast.”

“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” adapted by Kathryn Schultz Miller, is sure to delight young and old alike as it retells the classic story of the luckless Ichabod Crane that one scary Halloween night. True to Washington Irving’s haunting Halloween tale, attendees of all ages are thrilled at the sight of the Headless Horseman as it gallops straight at the audience, screams and throws a…well, the ending can be seen at the Tibbits.

This production is presented by Tibbits Young Audiences and Tibbits Teen Advisory Board. Tibbits gratefully acknowledges Kiwanis as the play’s sponsor.
