SPOTLIGHT ON AREA TEENS

COLDWATER, MI—

 

Talented teens are ready to perform for cash prizes at the Fifth Annual “Spotlight on Teens” Talent Show Friday, May 30, 2008, at Tibbits Opera House, 14 S. Hanchett Street.

 

The curtain goes up at 7 pm on area youth from Branch County, Tekonsha, Angola and Fremont. The evening’s entertainment includes singers, a comedian, guitarists, actors, musicians and rock bands. Three judges will determine a first, second, and third place winner, all of whom will win cash prizes.

 

Performing in the spotlight from Indiana will be David Marshall, Fremont; Chase Thiebaut, and Megan Miller, both from Angola. On stage from Michigan will be Pansy Goheen, Tekonsha; and Kumaran Arivoli, Rachael Hancz, Sabeek Pradham, Amy Hemker, Breanna Rees, Monica Richards, Arin Zabonick, Chelsea Hart, Becky Taden, Dalton Jenkins, Cory Schwartz, Kory Wallace, Shania Shepherd, Jordan Green, all from Branch County. These teens are seasoned performers having been on stage for years.

 

This talent show is sponsored by the Tibbits teen organization, Tibbits Teen Advisory Board, (T-TAB), as a fundraiser for Tibbits. This is their fifth annual talent show. The first four have raised more than $1500 for Tibbits.

 

Kayla Dove is the director for this year’s show; the stage manager is Betty Dunn with Sarah Abe acting as assistant stage manager. Spot operator is Nick Spencer and stagehands are Becca Harmon and Josie Krajny.

 

Everyone involved in this show is a T-TAB member. They urge the general public to come out, have a good time, and in the process support our area’s talented teens and Tibbits.

 

“Spotlight on Teens” Talent Show will take place 7 pm on Friday, May 30, at Tibbits Opera House, 14 S. Hanchett St., Coldwater.
