Wal-Mart Distribution and Wal-Mart Transportation Summer Theatre Sponsors

COLDWATER, MI—

Wal-Mart Distribution and Wal-Mart Transportation are continuing their tradition of community involvement with their sponsorship of Tibbits Summer Theatre production of “The Bop She Bops” on August 7-9 and 13-16, 2008.

This is the ninth season that Wal-Mart Distribution 6043 and Wal-Mart Transportation Center 6843 have jointly sponsored a summer theatre production. This support is in keeping with the company’s philosophy of support and betterment of its community.

Brett Timblin, human resources manager for the transportation division remarked, “Tibbits continues to raise the bar every year with their annual Summer Theatre. To be a part of such a fun and exciting program for nine years is amazing. Chris Delaney and the whole group at Tibbits do a wonderful job, and we look forward to our continued support for years to come.”  

Both Wal-Mart Transportation Center and Wal-Mart Distribution are at 500 Jonesville Road, Coldwater. They have been at their present location for more than ten years and have continuously made an effort to be a part of their community in a variety of ways. As a corporation, Wal-Mart supports many community activities including the United Way.

“The Bop She Bops” directed by Charles Burr has three women returning to their high school ten years later to prove that they do, indeed, have talent. This heartwarming tribute to girl groups of the ‘60s features such old-time favorites as “Those Boots Were Made for Walkin’,” “My Boyfriend’s Back,” “Chapel of Love,” and “Stop in the Name of Love.”

Performances of “The Bop She Bops” are scheduled for 8 pm Thursday – Saturday, August 7—9 and August 14—15. In addition there are matinees beginning at 2 pm on Thursday, August 7, and Wednesday, August 13.
