Dick Baker is enthralled to be returning to the Tibbits stage for his second summer in a row. Previous show credits include, "The Drowsy Chaperone," "Hair," and "The Importance of Being Earnest." Dick hopes the cast and crew break all of their legs, and would like to dedicate his summer performances to his youngest sister, Allison, who has demonstrated strength and courage well beyond her years in the face of adversity. Altamiece Carolyn Ballard-Cooper is excited to return to TIbbits for another fantastic season. Her most memorable Tibbits Opera House rolls are "Nunsense" (Sister Hubert) and "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" (Jewel). After her first two seasons here she then went on to complete the 2006 national Broadway tour of "Rent" and also starred as Motormouth Maybelle in Music Theatre of Wichita's production of "Hairspray." I would like to thank God for blessing me beyond belief; my husband Brandon, my parents, family, and friends for believing in and supporting me always; Charles and the entire Tibbits family for this fantastic invitation.
AM1590-2011 Interview with Altamiece Ballard-Cooper
Debbie Culverreturns to Tibbits for a second appearance--she played Mama Rose in "Gypsy" a few years back. Theatrical credits include work on stage and behind the scenes: directing, choreography, and costuming. She has appeared professionally at the Barn Theatre in Augusta and at the Alpha Theatre Project in Saginaw. She is also is active in community theatre. Some favorite roles include Adelaide in "Guys and Dolls," Annie in "Annie Get Your Gun," and Eliza in "My Fair Lady." Debbie lives in West Leroy Townships (a.k.a. the middle of nowhere) with her husband, Tim (Collins) Culver. "A big thanks to Charles fo rthe chance to whoop it up this summer!"
Kierstin Elliot is a senior at Wayne State University pursuing a degree in dance performance. While at Wayne State she has assumed the position of student representative for her class in the dance department and was a member of Company One, touring to elementary schools in the Detroit area, her freshman year. While at WSU Kierstin has had the opportunity to work with guest artists such as Ray Mercer, Nicholas Leichter, Janis Brenner and Sonya Tayeh as well as other choreographers at the American Dance Festival 2011 Winter Intensive in NYC and the IABD Dance Conference in Los Angeles. After a busy year she looks forward to both Paul Taylor and Complexions dance intensives this summer. Kierstin is thrilled that her schedule has allowed her to return to Tibbits Opera House this summer to appear in the Popcorn Theatre show "Sleeping Beauty." Thank you for coming and enjoy the show.
Elizabeth Jaffe is thrilled to be making her Tibbits Opera House debut! She is a graduate from Ball State University and recieved her B.A. in Musical Theatre. Born and raised in Ann ARbor, she is happy to be performing in Michigan this summer. Since college, Elizabeth has been performing with RWS and Associates Entertainment Inc. in NYC, and has done many performances at the Encore Musical Theatre Company in Dexter, MI. Her favorite roles include Logainne in "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," Baroness Elsa Shraeder in "The Sound of Music," Lily St. Regis in "Annie," and Virginia in "Nevermore." She would like to thank Charles Burr for giving her this amazing opportunity and her parents, sister, Ken, family, and friends for always believing in her. James Kesler is one of the most sought-after magical entertainers today. James' career begain in 1996 when he became a features artist with an entertainment bureau in Indianapolis, Indiana. James performs at more than 150 public and private venues across the country each year. Mr. Kesler is a popular, featured entertainer at many of today's top resorts. Appearances include Hoosier Park and Casino in Anderson, Indiana, the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Nevada, Shelbyville, Indiana's Indiana Live Casino, and the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Amy Lamberti is excited to be making her return to the Tibbits stage! She received her BA in Musical Theatre from SUNY Cortland this past Spring. Credits include, "The Drowsy Chaperone" (Kitty), "Kiss Me, Kate" (Lois/Bianca), "Dog Sees God" (Van's Sister), as well as "On Broadway," "Crazy For You" (Patsy), and "Run For Your Wife" (Barbara Smith) last summer. She would like to thank her family and friends for their continuous love and support throughout everytyhing. To all her returnees, "I love you!"

Katherine Lozon is extremely excited for her summer at Tibbits Opera House! She has recently graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Dance. Her Credits include Dorothy in "The Wiz," Bombalurina in "CATS," Gigi in "Miss Saigon," and Dance Captain in both "Footlose" and "Once Upon a Mattress." She is more than grateful for the opportunity to collaborate and create with such wonderful artists at Tibbits. Katherine would love to thank not only her loving parents, but her friends and family who have supported her throughout her artistic life!
Aaron Mann just completed a year-long internship with the Wayside Theatre in Virginia, where he played the title role in Macbeth." Other shows at Wayside include "Shenandoah," "Dead Man's Cell Phone," "A Murder, A Mystery, and a Marriage," "A Christmas Carol," and the world premiere musical, "Southern Crossroads: The New Orleans Adventure." Prior to Virginia, Mann starred in the Fort Wayne, Indiana premiere of "Crime and Punishment" (Raskolnikov). A graduate of Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne, some of Mann's favorite credits include "Urinetown: The Musical" (Officer Lockstock), "A Doll's House" (Torvald Helmer), "Wonderful Town" (Robet Baker), "The Taming of the Shrew" (Petruchio), and "Waiting for Godot" (Vladimir). Having worked summer stock twice in Ohio, Mann is excited and looking forward to performing in Michigan with Tibbits!
Ryan McDonald is thrilled to be returning to the Tibbits stage for his third season. He was previously seen as a featured actor in the first "On Broadway," as well as "Crazy for You" and "Run for Your Wife." Notable roles include Mark in "Rent," Nathan Detroit in "Guys and Dolls," Cousin Kevin in "Tommy," Tobias in "Sweeney Todd," and Charlie Brown in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." A graduate of SUNY Cortland and a native of New York, Ryan is busy preparing the jump to Chicago in the fall. He would like to thank his friends, family, and Kari for their continual love and support.

Tony Milder is grateful to have a place to escape the summer sun with the wonderful people at Tibbits. A native of Minneapolis, MN, he is a graduate of Concordia College, Moorhead with a very useful degree in Theater, French, and Psychology. He enjoys reliving his glory days in the theatre, often reenacting his favorite roles in his room accompanied by his dog. These credits have included "A Christmas Carol" at The Guthrie Theater, "The Pirates of Penzance" at The Theater at Monmouth, and touring productions of "The Wizard of Oz" (Scarecrow) and "Romeo and Juliet" (Romeo). Aside from the sound of his own voice and cartwheels, Tony has a wide array of interests, including bread making, sushi, turning pages, and dancing like a fool. |

company of friends! Greg is originally from Buffalo, NY where he graduatedfrom Niagara University. He has performed with such regional houses as Playhouse on the Square (Resident Fight Choreographer & Company Member), Mill Mountain Theatre, The Renaissance Center, Theater at Monmouth, SpringerOpera House, Prather Entertainment Group, Wagon Wheel Theatre, DCT, Great Plains Theatre, Sesame Street Live, and on the Equity tour of "The Diary of Anne Frank" with Barter Theatre. Katie Quigley is ecstatic to be returning to her second season at Tibbits Opera House! Katie just completed her junior year at SUNY Cortland where she is studying for her BA in Musical Theatre. Lindsey Spencer has recently graduated from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. She is ecstatic to be returning to Tibbits for her second season! You may remember seeing her in the summer of 2009 as a part of the ensemble in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,” Meg in “Leading Ladies,” and Sheila in the life changing rock musical “Hair!” Other favorite roles include Belle in “Beauty and the Beast,” Adelaide in “Guys and Dolls,” Eponine in “Les Miserables,” and Essie in “You Can’t Take it With You.” She loves painting, is passionate about animals, can’t stop eating sweets, is always up for watching a movie, and is terrified of twinkies…and waffles. She would like to thank Charles Burr for all the opportunities he has given her, all of you for supporting the arts, and her remarkable family made perfect by her love.
Dave Sucharski is thrilled to be performing this summer in such a great season with Tibbits Opera House! A Philadelphia native, Dave spent the past winter in his home city performing in "Annie" with Emmy Award winning actress/comedian Wanda Sykes. Most recently, he played Laurie in "Little Women" and Man 1/guitar in "Ring of Fire" with Greenbrier Valley Theatre in WV. Other regional credits include: Bob Wallace in "White CHristmas," Neville in "The Secret Garden," Woof in "Hair," Danny Zuko in "Grease," Sheriff Joe Sutter in "The Spitfire Grill," and Benjamin Cohen in "Steve Martin's: The Underpants." Chad Tallon is thrilled to be spending the summer at Tibbits. Chad just
received his MFA in Acting at Western Illinois University in May and will be
moving to Maryland to work for The National Players in August. Some of
Chad's favorite roles at Western were William Barfee in "The 25th Annual
Putnam County Spelling Bee" and Chris Keller in "All My Sons." Chad has
also appeared in "The Producers" (Max), "Little Shop of Horrors" (Seymour),
and "All Shook Up" (Dennis). He is extremely grateful for his opportunity
to work with all the great people at Tibbits. He would also like to thank
all of his friends and family for all their continued support in letting him
do what he loves to do. Without them, nothing is possible! Go Cubs!
Jania Taylor is an award-winning magician looking forward to sharing her special brand of magic with the children and families of Branch County. Taylor is a graduate of the Chavez Studio of Magic in Colon, mI. As only the third female in the history of the school to complete the course, she is always looking for new illusions to please her fans. Jania's magic has been enjoyed by thousands of people throughout the country. Her wit and charm have pleased audiences at numerous corporate events, conventions, festivals, fairs, and schools. She has performed at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA, as well as such noted resorts as the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, MI, the Mississippi Queen River Boat, and the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, WV.

Ricky Wenthen is incredibly excited to be performing in his first professional season at the Tibbits Opera House. He is playing the roles of himself in “On Broadway Too,” Keno in “The Full Monty,” Prince in “Sleeping Beauty,” and Waiter in “Out Of Order.” Recent roles in musicals include John Tall/Gangster #1 in “The Drowsy Chaperone,” Hortensio in “Kiss Me, Kate,” Benny/Mr. Jefferson in “Rent,” Chip Tollentino in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” and Bobby Strong in “Urinetown.” Recent straight play roles include Oedipus in “Oedipus the King” and Jesus Costazuela in “The Odd Couple: Female Version.” Ricky would like to thank all his family and friends who have supported him in his art and his work.
Jeremy Williams, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, is very proud to make his Tibbits Opera House Debut. Trinity Bird* (Director for "On Broadway Too", and "Sleeping Beauty") is entering his sixth season with Tibbits Summer Theatre. Trinity is thrilles to once again be collaborating with Charles Burr for the season opening production. A native of Bronson, he studied theatre at Grand Valley State University where he recieved the university's highest arts honor, the Alexander Calder Scholarship. Favorite directing credits include, "A Separate Peace," Lost in Yonkers," Hair," "Biloxi Blues," "Holes," and last season's "On Broadway: A MOdern Songbook." Favorite onstage roles include Japheth in "Two By Two," Pickering in "My Fairy Lady," Nicely in "Guys and Dolls," Toad in "A Year with Frog and Toad" and Lady Bracknell in "The Importance of Being Earnest." Stephanie (Hemker) Burdick (Director for "Back When the Animals Talked," Actor) first became involved with Tibbits Summer Theatre 15 years ago when she played Astrana in "Sleeping Beauty," and is thrilled to return to that show this year as Miranda. She was very involved with the Sturgis Civic Players as their vice president, and has just finished "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" (Sally). Other favorite roles include, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" (Narrator), "Wizard of Oz" (Dorothy), and "Grease" (Rizzo). She's been on hiatus from the professional theatre world for a few years, having last done a three-month touring show eight years ago with Prairie Fire Children's Theatre as an actor/director for "Wizard of Oz." Burdick got her BS in secondary education from Ball State University in Theatre, Speech, English, and Journalism, which she currently teaches at Lakeland High School in LaGrange, IN. She is also pursuing her masters in humanities from Tiffin University.

Kevin Halpin* (Director/Choreographer for "The Full Monty") is excited to be returning to Tibbits after staging \last season's "Crazy for You." Other Tibbits productions with Kevin at the helm include, "Sweet Charity," "Grease," "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes," "They're Playing Our Song," and "The Music Man." Longtime Tibbits audience members may remember Kevin from the 1985 season as a performer in "Annie Get Your Gun," "South Pacific," and "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas." Additional favorite Directing credits include, "Sweeny Todd," "Rent," "Tommy," "Carousel," "Guys and Dolls," "Thoroughly Modern Millie," "A Little Night Music," "Anything Goes," "Kiss Me, Kate," and "Barefoot in the Park." Kevin comes to us from Cortland, NY where he started the Musical Theatre Program at SUNY College at Cortland in 1999 and continues as its director. His beautiful wife Cindy, (also a cast member from the 1985 season), is a huge part of the program at SUNY Cortland and Co-Artistic director of the Performing Arts Institute, a dance and theatre school in downtown Cortland. Kevin's favorite accomplishments are his greatest collaborations with Cindy and their wonderful daughters Aisling and Cassidy.
Kristen Lee Rosenfeld (Music Director for "On Broadway, Too") recently served as Conductor for the First National Tour of the Tony-Award winning Broadway musical "Spring Awakening." NYC credits include shows for The Transport Group, NYMF, Prospect Theatre and many others. Regional credits include Cortland Repertory and the Barn Theatre. Kristen is also a composer and her commissions include the Atlantic Acting School and Red Fern Theatre Company. Her new musical version of "The Merry Wives of Windsor" was premiered at Wooden O Theatre in Seattle in 2007. Kristen is currently collaborating with her mother on a musical version of the classic children's book "Holly and Ivy." She is very happy to be joining the company at Tibbits Summer Theatre. Cheryl VanDuzen (Music Director for "Working") resides in Milan, Michigan. She has served as Musical Director for several productions including "Guys and Dolls," and "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Forum," and "Hello, Dolly!" She spent over a year on the national tour of "Grease" as conductor, where she worked with Frankie Avalon, Fabian, Chubby Checker, Erik Estrada, and Charo. Cheryl recieved her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Michigan School of Music. She is very pleased to be back at the Tibbits this summer where she has spent many, many happy summers and was Music Director most recently for "Crazy For You" and "...Spelling Bee." |

Andy Broomell (Scenic Design) recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a BFA in Theatrical Design and Technology. He is excited to return to Tibbits this summer and in the fall will be pursuing his MFA in Scenic Design at UC-Irvine. Favorite designs include “Rent,” “She Loves Me,” “Hair,” and “Sunday in the Park with George.” Andy’s work on “Never the Sinner” in 2009 won the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Special Judges’ Award for Outstanding Projections Design. He’d like to thank his family and friends and especially his mom for the constant love and support.

Jeffrey Hannah (Lighting Design) is a Michigan native who is thrilled to be back in his home state. Originally from Troy, he holds a Bachelors degree in Theatre Performance from Oakland University and is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois with a Masters Degree in Lighting Design. Jeffrey has also completed apprenticeships at the Ozark Actors Theatre and Purple Roase Theatre Company. He has designed professionally for the Michigan Classical Repertory Theatre, WILL T. V. PBS Urbana/Champaign, and the Tibbits Opera House. In Addition to his design work, Jeffrey has also served as the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts Master Electrician for shows such as Momix, the Kronos Quartet, and Bill T. Jones Dance Company. His recent projects have included serving as the Master Electrician for the world premeir of Ralph Lemon's "How Can You Stay in the House All Day and Not Go Anywhere?" as the Associate Lighting Designer for the Champaign/Urbana Ballet's production of "The Nutcracker," and Lighting Designer for the University of Illinois production of "Man of La Mancha." When he is not designing, Jeffrey reads books taken from the mountainous piles that fill his home, paints miniatures, and plays board games. He hates to be bored; luckily, he rarely is. |

Theresa Hartman (Costume Design for "The Full Monty" and Working") is delighted to be returning to Tibbits for her second year as a costume designer. Last year she designed costumes for "On Broadway" and "Run for Your Wife." She has a BFA in Theatre Arts and Technology from Wayne State University and just finished the MFA Theatre Arts program at Virginia Tech. During her academic career she designed costumes, scenery and props for a wide variety of shows. She also recently returned from an internship at Seattle Children's Theatre where she assisted the costume and puppet departments. She is originally from Milan.
Rudolph C. Schuepbach (Technical Director and Popcorn Design) is an MFA Graduate student at Wayne State University, studying Scenic Design. Hailing from Hood River, Oregon, he hopes to one day make his way back west and find a career in technical theater. Recent credits include Scenic Designer for "Hayfever," Assistant Designer for "The Cider House Rules Part I and II," and Technical Director for "Of Mice and Men," all at the Hilberry Theater. This is his first season at Tibbits, and is thrilled to join the team for what promises to be an amazing person.

Peter Scmidt (Properties) is from Minnesota. He has a BA in Studio Art from Southwest Minnesota State University. He is currently receiving his MFA in Scenic Design from Wayne State University. Last summer he studied at the Moscow Art Theatre. He has designed "Scotland Road" at the SMSU Blackbox Theatre, and "The Sweet Stuff" which toured Fargo, Minneapolis, and Chicago. At the Hilberry he designed "Of Mice and Men." His props credits include, "Midsummer Night's Dream," "Servant of Two Masters," and "Cider House" parts I and II.
Jessica Snyder (Costume Design for "On Broadway, Too" and "Out of Order"), anAtlanta native, received her MFA in Costume Design from Western Illinois University in 2010. She has since been working as a frdeelance costume designer in Chicago, where some of her favorite designs include "Merrily We Roll Along," for The Music Theatre Company, "Look Back in Anger," for The Verge Theatre, and "Good Person of Szechwan," for The Chicago Academy for the Arts.

Kari Warning (Production Stage Manager) is pleased to be returning for her second season at Tibbits Opera House. Kari recently received a BA in Theatre at Western Illinois University and has lived in Chicago since leaving Tibbits last year. Favorite Chicago credits include, "Jungle Book" and "Peter Pan and the Pirates" with Alphabet Soup Productions (Assistant Stage Manager), "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" at Moraine Valley Community College (Stage Manager), and "Merriliy We Roll Along" with the Musical Theatre Company (Assistant Costume Designer and Wardrobe Supervisor). She would like to thank her parents Corey, Mallory, and Ryan for all their love and support.
Mark R Abrahamson (Assistant Stage Manager) is very excited to be returning to Tibbits with such a wonderful cast and crew. He would like to thank everyone who has helped him along over the years be them family, friend, or other. He greatly enjoyed working with the 2010 summer season here at Tibbits Opera House as a Stage Manager for their Popcorn Theatre and Assistant Stage Manager for their Main Stage productions, and he can't wait for another great season. Graham Rowe-Bultinck (Technical Intern) will be graduating from Coldwater High School in the spring of 2012. He has enjoyed doing theater production work behind the scenes and has helped in last summer’s Popcorn Theatre and some Branch County Community Theatre productions. This past season Graham stage managed the Coldwater High School production of “Grease.” Graham wants to thank Charles Burr for giving him the opportunity to learn more about how theater productions work behind the scenes. |

Brendan James Conroy (Carpenter) is a “jack-of-all-trades” technician currently completing his BA in Theater at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. A native of Portland, CT, he holds an Associate's Degree in Technical Theater from Bristol Community College in Fall River, Massachusetts, and has also worked and performed at the University of South Carolina. Previous credits include Propsmaster for “Twelfth Night” and “Night On The Galactic Railroad” at UMass, Sound Designer for “The Jungle Book” and Puppetmaster for “The Conference of the Birds” at BCC, as well as numerous acting and production credits over the past fifteen years. He is also a proud alumnus of Middletown, CT's Oddfellow's Playhouse, and Columbia, SC's “Toast” improv and sketch comedy troupe. Brendan is currently employed as a Scenic Carpenter in Amherst, and looks forward to working in the scenic design and technical direction fields upon his graduation in 2012.

Shaun Reis (Master Carpenter)
is very excited to be back at Tibbits this summer. He is happy to back in beautiful Coldwater. He was master carpenter last summer and is in the same role this summer. He has been working shows for the past four years, some of which include, “Anything Goes,”“Spelling Bee,” and “Christmas Carol.” Shaun also works with a few companies in the St. Louis area on many different types of jobs. Shaun is still in college pursuing his BA in Technical Theatre with an emphasis in Design and technology. Matthew Rogers (Master Elec. and Light Designer for Popcorn Theatre) hails from Saginaw, MI, where he began studying theatrical design and production skills at Pit and Balcony Community Theatre under the tutelage of Lee-Perry Belleau and Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy in the Theatre Concentration. Currently Rogers attends Interlochen Arts Academy and his major area of study is Theatrical Design and Production. His recent design credits include Lighting Design for Interlochen's "Hotel Paradiso" and for Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy's "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown." He has also acted as Technical Director for "Back to the 80's," "Picasso Becomes You," and the "SVSU Humanities Series." Recent production credits include Sound Board Operator for Interlochen's "Antigone" and Light Board Operator for Interlochen's Student Directed One-Acts.
Graham Rowe-Bultnick (Technical Intern) will be graduating from Coldwater High School in the spring of 2012. He has enjoyed doing theatre production work behind the scenes and has helped in last summer's Popcorn Theatre and some Branch County Community Theatre productions. This past season Graham stage managed the Coldwater High School production of "Grease." Graham wants to thank Charles Burr for giving him the opportunity to learn more about how theater productions work behind the scenes.
Kaitlin Younger (Scenic Artist) recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point with a BFA in theatrical design and technology. She is excited to be joining TIbbits for the first time this summer and in the fall will by studying/painting as a scenic artist at Cobalt Studios in upstate New York. Favorite shows she has recently charged include "Sunday in the Park with George," "The Mystery of Edwin Drood," "What the Butler Saw," and "The Inspector General." She'd like to thank her family and friends for their constant love and support in doing what she loves. |
